HAT is a single-owned enterprise, based in Gqeberha (formerly known as Port Elizabeth), producing uniquely designed, hand-sewn clothing accessories as well as home living and decor accessories contributing to the slow fashion industry.
Our name, unmistakably, emerged from our very first item designed and handmade. You guessed it – a HAT. Ever since, we’ve expanded our small store to house the creation of many clothing accessories which may include various hats, bags, backpacks, pouches, and straps. In our home living category, one may find cushion covers, peg holders and cutlery holders. We believe that we can never stop being innovative, therefore we are constantly working at developing and implementing new designs as well as new products.
We love the process of creating and implementing, which is exactly why we offer our custom-made services. This service allows us the opportunity to build a bond with our client and not only implement our creative perspective but also gain our clients’ creative perspective and understanding
Our inspiration is drawn from the depths of the earth with our warm, earthy, neutral tones. As the ground we walk on boasts a ragged but beautiful shape and form, we reiterate by creating organic feel through patterning and colour added to a solid product, creating a warm, contrasting, but balanced piece.

The creation of each and every product produced is single-handedly undertaken, from the design, to the handcraft and making, to the packaging and selling. To date, we have sold items nationally and internationally and we continue to expand our horizons.
